Issue 7: November 8, 2024

Thank you, D200 community!

On election day, voters in our community approved a $151.5 million bond referendum that will allow us to improve safety and security in our middle schools, ensure healthy and accessible buildings for all students, and provide our middle schoolers with 21st century learning environments. Thank you for coming together as a community to prioritize the learning, safety, and well-being of our students and teachers. At Monroe, we are so grateful to have the support of our community.

In the months ahead, we will be drafting detailed plans and timetables for implementing the projects included in the referendum. We will be further engaging the community on many of those details, so stay tuned. Our Referendum Information webpage will remain publicly accessible, and a new Middle School Capital Facilities Projects webpage has been launched to keep you updated on the progress of each improvement.

Again, on behalf of Monroe, thank you for your support and for enhancing the safety and security of our students and teachers, and creating an environment where all our students can excel!

Sincerely,

Ashley Huettemann
Principal
