A message from the principal

We have taken time over the last few weeks to complete our FastBridge assessments in reading and math. As a reminder, parents will be able to view scores in ParentVue in October.

Students practiced our fire drill last week without the fire department and we will be practicing again this week with the fire department. We discuss procedures with students and prepare them for the drill. We appreciate continued support and conversations about safety at home.

Healthy Snacks

Did you know that a healthy snack can significantly impact your child's concentration in the classroom? Nutritious foods help regulate energy levels and prevent sugar crashes that can affect mood and focus. Let's work together to provide our students with "brain food" to support their academic performance by sending healthy snacks with your child and avoiding juices, chips, cookies, and other sugary items.

Picture Day is Coming!

Picture day is coming on Wednesday, September 24th beginning at 9:15. Please review this flyer for information on ordering pictures.

Lowell 4th and 5th grade Color Guard Flag Team Permission

Lowell’s Color Guard Flag Team will practice Tuesdays and Thursdays after school beginning September 9th to November 20th from 3:45 to 4:30. Color Guard is a great experience and promotes teamwork as well as citizenship. It is also a lot of fun!

The performance schedule is:
Friday, October 17th Wheaton North football halftime show. Tuesday, November 11th, Veterans Day, Wheaton Memorial Park
Friday, November 28th Wheaton Christmas parade. (Some participants may be unavailable due to holiday travel.)

Parent Teacher Conferences

Parent teacher conferences are Thursday, October 9, 4:00-8:00 p.m. and Friday, October 10th, 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Students will attend school on Thursday, but there is no student attendance on Friday. Parents can sign up for a 15 minute conference time with their child's teacher using this link. Please reach out to your child's teacher if you have any questions.

Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

Love for Lowell is back for 2025-26! The dates are September 15-29. Be on the lookout for more information next week.
