Message from the Principal

Lowell Families,

It's hard to believe that we are already in Trimester 3 of this school year and that spring break is only one week away! Our students in 3-5 grade successfully completed the ELA portion of the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) and will take the math portion upon return from spring break. 

We have a lot of great opportunities to get involved and support our school in the coming months. We hope to see many of you at these events! Additionally, PTA is seeking individuals to serve on the PTA board for the 26-27 school year. There will not be a Sunday memo on Sunday, March 29th due to spring break week. As a reminder, the office is closed the entire week and will reopen Monday, April 6th.

Citizens’ Advisory Committee: Now Accepting Applications for 2026-27 School Year

CUSD 200 is looking for engaged community members to join the Citizens’ Advisory Committee (CAC) for the 2026-27 school year. The CAC works to provide valuable input on educational and district-related initiatives to district administration and the Board of Education.

Candidates must reside within CUSD 200 boundaries and shall not miss more than two meetings without first notifying an officer of the CAC or the superintendent’s office. Members serve one-year terms (up to five consecutive years) and meet regularly (usually monthly) throughout the school year.

Applications are due by March 27, 2026, and can be filled out and submitted online by clicking here or visiting the CUSD 200 website.
